Alloy 400

Alloy 400 (UNS N04400, ASTM B164, WNR 2.4360/2.4361) is a high nickel (Ni) and copper (Cu) alloy and is not considered a stainless steel, as it does not contain chromium (Cr). Alloy 400 contains a minimum of 63% Ni and 28-34% Cu, and small amounts of iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), carbon (C), and silicon (Si). Alloy 400 is resistant to corrosion by acids and alkaline solutions and is non-magnetic. Our Alloy 400 material was melted, poured, and manufactured in Germany, and meets ASTM specifications.
